Pass Card Terms of Service

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, installing, or using Pass Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Pass Card is a local password and personal-document manager that:

• Stores your data on your device, with passwords, notes and documents encrypted
• Works without an internet connection for all vault features
• Has no accounts and no servers of ours
• Provides optional iCloud sync for iOS users (stored in YOUR iCloud)

3. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

a) App Lock:

• You are responsible for choosing a passcode and keeping it private
• We cannot recover a forgotten passcode

b) Backup Passwords:

• Each exported backup is protected by a password you choose
• We cannot recover a forgotten backup password; without it the backup cannot be opened
• Store backup files and their passwords securely

c) Data Backup:

• You are responsible for creating and maintaining backups of your data
• Use the export feature regularly to create backup files
• We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, loss, or damage

d) Device Security:

• Keep your device secure with a passcode/password
• Enable biometric authentication for added security
• Do not use Pass Card on jailbroken or rooted devices
• Keep your device's operating system updated

4. LOCAL STORAGE & PRIVACY

• Your data is stored locally on your device; passwords, notes and documents are encrypted with AES-256-GCM
• We have NO access to your passwords, documents, or any data you store
• We do NOT operate any servers that store or process your data
• Your vault data leaves your device only when YOU:
  • Export or share a backup file
  • Enable iCloud sync (iOS only, stored in YOUR iCloud)
  • Share an item through the app's share feature
• See the Privacy Policy for the limited cases where the app uses the internet

5. iCLOUD SYNC (iOS ONLY)

If you enable iCloud sync:

• An encrypted copy of your vault is stored in YOUR personal iCloud account
• It is encrypted with a key kept in your iCloud Keychain
• We do NOT have access to your iCloud data
• You are responsible for your iCloud account security
• iCloud sync follows Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions
• You can disable iCloud sync at any time

6. PERMITTED USE

You may use Pass Card to:

• Store and manage your passwords, credentials and personal documents
• Generate secure passwords
• Export and import your encrypted vault data
• Use all features for personal or business purposes

7. PROHIBITED USE

You may NOT:

• Use the app for any illegal activities
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the app
• Store illegal content or credentials for illegal accounts
• Use the app to violate any third-party terms of service
• Distribute or share the app in violation of app store terms

8. NO WARRANTY

Pass Card is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind:

• We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or device issues
• You use the app at your own risk
• We recommend regular backups to prevent data loss

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any data loss, device damage, or security breaches
• We are not responsible for forgotten passcodes or backup passwords
• We are not liable for any damages arising from app use or inability to use
• Your sole remedy is to stop using the app

10. ADVERTISING (FREE VERSION)

• The free version may display advertisements via Google AdMob
• Ads are served by third-party ad networks
• Ad networks may collect device information (see Privacy Policy)
• You can remove ads through in-app purchase

11. IN-APP PURCHASES

• Ad removal is a one-time purchase
• Purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Refunds are subject to app store policies
• Purchases are non-transferable between platforms

12. UPDATES AND MODIFICATIONS

• We may update the app to add features, fix bugs, or improve security
• We may modify these terms at any time
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms
• Major changes will be communicated through app updates

13. TERMINATION

• You may stop using the app at any time
• Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device
• We reserve the right to discontinue the app at any time

14. DATA OWNERSHIP

• You retain complete ownership of all data you store in Pass Card
• We claim no rights to your passwords, documents, or personal data
• You can export your data at any time
• Deleting the app or data is permanent and irreversible

15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• iCloud sync uses Apple's iCloud service (subject to Apple's terms)
• Ads use Google AdMob (subject to Google's terms)
• Website icons are loaded from Google's icon service
• Support, bug-report and rating forms use Google Forms
• We are not responsible for third-party service changes or issues

16. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
